As the Woman from Lud Bore me

In the poetic work "As the Woman from Lud Bore me", the Canaanite god "Baal" visits Palestine in 2015, shedding the layers accumulated through centuries of religious reformulation and mythic reinterpretation—returning pure, as born by the woman of Lud. In this journey, he witnesses the collapse of myth upon the living land, encountering the political, geographical, and human conditions of a fractured present.

The performance captures a fragment of this mythic voyage, unfolding it through an intricate dialogue between poetry, music, song, video art, and movement. These artistic languages do not merely accompany the text—they become its partners in unveiling image, texture, and metaphor. Together, they form a space of resonance and revelation, where poetry expands beyond words to embody the depth and dissonance of its world.
