DON’T BELIEVE ME IF I TALK TO YOU OF WAR

A three-way poetry performance between words, vocals and image. With her hunting voice, Haifa based artists and singer song writer Haya Zaatry echoes the words spoken by poet Asmaa Azaizeh on stage, creating an intimate dialogue between the two. On a large screen behind them, images of empty homes, the poets' mother and a lottery booth open further space for the poems to sneak in and out of.

"Don’t Believe Me If I Talk To You of War” is a poetry collection in which poet Asmaa Azaizeh reflects on those living outside wars, the nature of evil and the inevitability of demise.
